Exciting opportunity in Christchurch we are seeking a qualified Auto Electrician with strong diagnostic and electrical repair capabilities.

The role

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults
• Carrying out complex electrical diagnostics and fault-finding
• Electrical repairs, maintenance and component, replacement
• Installing and maintaining electrical systems and components
• Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
• Working across a range of equipment and machinery
• Field service work and customer callouts where required
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

 
Skills sought

• Relevant Auto Electrical trade qualification
• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably on forklifts and/or heavy equipment
• Solid automotive electrical diagnostics, fault-finding and repair skills
• The ability to confidently identify electrical faults and complete repairs independently.
• Experience working with modern electrical and electronic systems is essential.

Forklift, heavy vehicle, agricultural, construction or other equipment experience would be advantageous, however candidates with strong light automotive auto electrical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
