  • Full training provided, remote work (New Zealand wide), and true work-life balance

  • From the dealership, aftersales department, national distributor or motor industry supplier into the world of recruitment

  • High income role with attractive base salary and highly lucrative OTE

From the motor industry into a Recruitment Executive role

  • Escape the commute to work

  • Live anywhere in New Zealand with the flexibility of remote working

  • Get your weekends back: standard Monday to Friday office hours. No more working Saturdays, late nights, or public holidays

  • Six-figure ++ plus role

  • We accommodate the needs of families

  • The list of employee benefits is extensive here, how does yours stack up?

At Automotive Employment NZ, New Zealand's specialist motor industry recruitment company since 1991, we value the relationships you have built and the deep industry knowledge you bring.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join us as a Recruitment Executive. This is a senior, impactful position offering comprehensive professional development, high earning potential, and an industry-leading family support package.

How your motor industry skills translate
You won't be starting from scratch. Your daily routine in the automotive world has already prepared you for this role:

  • Your industry knowledge: you can speak the language and understand the aftersales operations that technicians, Service and Parts Advisors, Aftersales Managers, and Dealership Principals use because you know the New Zealand motor industry landscape.

  • Your relationship building skills: because you work in the motor industry you know people in our industry; the more people you know, the easier the role becomes. You become an advisor, a consultant, and are paid for finding solutions.

  • Your resilience: you are used to working in a fast-paced environment, handling objections, explaining complicated concepts and making business happen. You will roll with the challenges just as you do now.

What the role involves

  • Partnering with businesses: building relationships with New Zealand motor industry businesses to understand their unique team cultures and hiring needs across all sectors and at all levels.

  • Guiding careers: sourcing talent, managing interview processes, and guiding candidates through job offers. You will work alongside our in-house Licensed Immigration Advisor and Psychometrist to deliver a seamless service.

  • Growth mindset: a proactive attitude, a passion for long-term career growth, and a desire to learn.

What we look for

  • DECENCY

  • A collaborative mindset, a clean professional track record, and a strong network within the motor industry.

  • Excellent communication: warm, engaging, and professional communication skills (face-to-face, as well as across phone, video, and email platforms).

  • A self-motivated attitude with the hunger to build a long-term business career.

  • The ability to learn fast and a thirst for knowledge.

Industry-leading benefits package
We believe in supporting our team members both at work and in their personal lives. Our comprehensive benefits include:

  • Competitive base salary + six-figure income potential

  • 5-day working week with all public holidays off

  • Monthly team connection days with the Automotive Employment/Jobcorp team

  • 6 early finishes per year

  • Dedicated family leave: Paid time off to attend children's sports events, school camps (up to 3 days), school drop-offs/pick-ups, and parent-teacher interviews

  • Caregiver support: paid time off to attend family medical appointments or care for a family member

  • Your birthday off as an extra paid holiday

  • Continuous learning and professional development programs
