We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Compressed Air Field Technicians for Christchurch. As a Compressed Air Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing compressed air systems for clients. Your expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues will be crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of these systems.



The role
Scheduled and breakdown maintenance:

• Assisting with installation and service of other larger projects outside the region as required
• Responding to urgent and non-urgent on-site breakdown call outs throughout the region
• Assisting management within installation service related
• Assisting with installation and service of other larger projects outside the region as required
• Undergoing company training at North and South Island based offices

Installations:

• Install, maintain, and repair compressed air systems according to client specifications and industry standards
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with compressed air systems, including identifying faulty components and repairing or replacing them as needed
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades
• Occasional travel to more remote locations
• There will be occasional opportunities to assist with larger project installations and maintenance New Zealand wide

Specialised:

• Assisting with the diagnosing, and repairing of refrigerated dryers
• Assisting with the diagnosing and repair of Variable speed drives, PLCs and various electrical faults

Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification preferred but not essential
• Electrical experience (preferred but not essential) with variable drives, controllers and refrigeration equipment
• Compressed air experience with rotary and high-pressure compressor types
• Excellent fault finding and solution providing skills
• Able to work alone
• Disciplined and conscientious work ethics
