If you are a motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you! This role is based in Cairns, Australia.

The role

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines used in hydraulic systems and equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel engines to ensure their optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and identify technical issues with diesel engines and develop effective repair solutions
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in diesel engines
• Conduct tests and accurately analyse results to ensure proper function and performance
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects and tasks are completed efficiently
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance done on diesel engines
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to promote a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proficient in undertaking servicing and diagnosing repairs.
• Sound knowledge of a variety of different machinery across a range of light and heavy vehicles with a focus on earthmoving equipment, trucks and trailers.
• Ability to work onsite, autonomously and after hours required.
• Ability to implement SWMS and utilise correct PPE is essential.
• Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter.
• White card an advantage but not a necessity.
