I’m pleased to announce that Jobcorp NZ Ltd, the owners of Automotive Employment NZ, have acquired carjobs.co.nz.

We admire the work Dan Angland put into developing carjobs.co.nz

Our industry desperately needs an industry specific platform that we can all advertise on and Jobcorp are fully committed to advancing the industry specific platform that Dan Angland built.

The site will include light automotive, heavy automotive, and heavy equipment reach. CarJobs will also undergo a transformation to include the heavy diesel sector. A pending name change will reflect this.

For now, though, it’s business as usual. Your active listings and accounts remain unchanged.

Job board advertising on the 2 leading job board platforms has become increasingly expensive. In just 4 years these costs have increased some 375%. Jobcorp views the situation no different to the problem advertising vehicles or property. Left unchecked, the outcome is obvious. This has driven our desire to provide an alternative.

To guarantee absolute impartiality, we operate a strict 'Closed Wall' policy between CarJobs and our recruitment division. Our recruitment consultants have no access to the candidate data or employer activity on CarJobs, and vice versa.

Smarter technology: Bulk loading and ATS integration are top priorities. For motor industry companies with their own Career Pages and internal systems, it will become a tick box exercise to load your jobs to CarJobs, no different to that of TradeMe or Seek
Better value: We will reinvest profits to provide a vital specialist alternative
New features: Ad packs, enhanced search, AI matching, and integrated immigration support are on our roadmap
Candidate matching: AI technology is already available to match candidates to your job and deliver them automatically to your ATS or inbox
Promotion of company Career Pages: Many companies already have their own career pages. What’s missing is a platform to promote your career pages directly. CarJobs will work to deliver this
